Groups and companies
A WSET course, just for your group.
Your team at work, or a group of friends who want to learn wine properly together. Same qualification and exam as our open courses. You choose the level, the language and the dates.
Who it is for
Any group of eight or more.
Two kinds of groups ask us most. The course is the same; what changes is where it happens and who pays.
Your team
Restaurants, hotels, wine shops, distributors and any company that wants its people to know wine with confidence.
- A private course just for your team, at our venue or at your premises once registered with WSET
- Or bring 8 or more to a shared date at our venue, for a lower price
- One invoice to the company
- Dates around your service and opening hours
- In English or Spanish
Your friends
A private course for a group who already drink wine together and want to understand what is in the glass.
- A private course at our venue or another venue that meets WSET’s requirements, once we register it
- Or a shared date at our venue, for a lower price
- One person books and pays for the whole group
- Weekdays or weekends, on dates that suit all of you
- In English or Spanish
What you get
A real qualification, not a tasting night.
Qualification
WSET Level 1, 2 or 3 Award in Wines. The same course, exam and certificate as an open course.
Group size
Shared date: bring at least 8. Private course: priced for at least 8 places. Fewer people, or another venue? Get in touch: we can often make an exception.
Teacher
An educator registered with WSET teaches every class and invigilates the exam.
Included
Textbook, workbook, exam fee, digital certificate and all tasting samples.
Where
Our venue in Barcelona, your premises, or another venue that meets WSET’s requirements, once we register it with WSET.
Language
English or Spanish. Materials as on each course page.
Dates
Weekdays or weekends, whatever suits your group. We confirm once the venue and educator are booked.
Length
As the open course: Level 1 one day, Level 2 two and a half days, Level 3 five and a half days.
Subjects
Wines today. Spirits when we are approved for it.

How it works
From first message to certificate.
- 1
Tell us about your group
How many people, which level, which language, and roughly when. The form below takes two minutes.
- 2
We send a proposal
Level, dates, venue and price per person, within 5 working days. If the course is at your premises or another venue, we register it with WSET before the course.
- 3
You confirm
Companies get one invoice. For friends, one person pays for the group by card on this site. Each student then gets an email to fill in their details, with our terms and policies.
- 4
We teach and examine
A registered educator teaches the course and invigilates the exam. Results and certificates come from WSET.
Two ways to book
A private course, or your own date shared.
Both give your group its own date. The difference is whether we may fill the empty seats with other students.
Just your group
- Only your people in the room
- At our venue, at your premises, or another venue registered with WSET
- Priced for at least 8 places, even if fewer attend
Your date, open seats
- Bring at least 8 people; we may fill the remaining seats with other students
- At our venue in Barcelona only: WSET does not allow outside students at a private venue
- A lower price per person
Prices include 21% IVA, materials, exam fee and certificate. A shared date costs 10% less than an open course; a private course costs the open price, for the minimum number of places for that level. Outside Barcelona: at least 12 paid places, plus travel costs. Every proposal states the full price before you confirm.
Fewer than eight?
Come together to an open course.
Book two to seven places on any open date in one booking, and every place costs less. One person pays.
See open dates−5%3 places
−8%4 to 7
−10%
Same discount on every course except Level 1 online, which we keep low as a first step. Applied automatically when you book the places together, no code needed. Works with instalments. If someone in the booking cancels, the others move to the price for the new number of places. Prices include 21% IVA and are rounded down to the euro.

Questions
Asked and answered.
Is it the same qualification as an open course?
Yes. Same course, same exam, same certificate from WSET. The only difference is that the class is just your group.
Can you teach at our restaurant, hotel or office?
Yes, for companies. WSET only allows its courses at venues registered with WSET in advance, so we register your premises before the course. Registration with WSET usually takes 3 to 5 working days; WSET allows up to 10.
Can you teach at another venue?
Yes, if the venue meets WSET’s requirements for a teaching venue. Tell us where and we check it and register it before the course. Registration with WSET usually takes 3 to 5 working days; WSET allows up to 10.
What if we are fewer than eight?
Book places together on an open course: 5% off each place for two, 8% for three and 10% for four to seven, on every course except Level 1 online, which we keep low as a first step. It works with instalments too. Our open dates are on the dates page.
What if one of us has to cancel?
The others keep their places and move to the price for the new number of places. The cancellation itself follows our refund policy.
Can someone outside our group join?
On a private course, no: it is just your group. On a shared date, yes: we open the seats you do not fill to other students, which is why it costs less.
Why does a private course have a minimum number of places?
A course costs the same to run whether 8 or 14 people attend. On a shared date we can fill the empty seats; on a private course we cannot, so the price covers a minimum number of places, which depends on the level. A smaller group? Get in touch: we can often make an exception, depending on the level and the venue.
Can each of us pay separately?
No. One person books and pays for the whole group, and you settle it between you. Companies receive one invoice.
Do you run tasting events or parties?
No. We teach WSET courses with an exam at the end. If you want something lighter, our small courses will be available for groups too.
What about the age limit and alcohol?
Every student must be 18 or over. Every course involves tasting wine, which contains alcohol; you can taste and spit.
Coming soonSomething lighter for your group? Our own small courses (how to taste, wine and food, reading a wine list) will be bookable for groups. They are Rack and Return courses, not WSET qualifications.
